The Association for the Promotion of Arts and Culture and New Silk Road Invited to Attend the 2025 Fallas Festival, Joining Hands with Valencia’s Cultural Association Lo Rat Penat to Promote Cultural Exchange and Integration

During the 2025 Fallas Festival, Mr. ZouChuang, President of the Association for the Promotion of Arts and Culture and New Silk Road, was invited by Mr. José Vicente Navarro Roga, President of the Valencia cultural association Lo Rat Penat, to the balcony of the Valencia City Hall to witness a spectacular firecracker display.

During the ceremony, President Zou held conversations with Ms. María José Catalá, Mayor of Valencia, as well as the Deputy Mayor and the Director of Culture. President Zou introduced the mission of the Association, which is dedicated to inheriting the spirit of the Silk Road, fostering cultural exchange between China and Spain, and promoting shared cultural prosperity. He also outlined the Association’s upcoming cultural exchange initiatives. The Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Director of Culture recognized and appreciated the Association’s vision, expressing their willingness to support its endeavors.

President Zou also discussed potential collaboration with President Navarro of Lo Rat Penat in advancing cultural exchange between the two countries. Founded in 1878, Lo Rat Penat is a historic institution whose work reflects and represents Valencia’s rich cultural heritage. Valencia, as the western terminus of the ancient Silk Road, plays a vital role in the development of cultural ties between the two nations. Both associations expressed strong intentions for cooperation in multiple areas of cultural promotion. Their partnership is expected to become a driving force in fostering the cultural prosperity of the New Silk Road in the new era.

On the evening of March 19, 2025, theFallas Festival concluded in Valencia with a grand fireworks display. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the festival offered a unique cultural feast to visitors from all over the world. Nearly a month of celebrations included breathtaking firecracker and fireworks shows, the floral offering to the Virgin by the Falleras and Falleros dressed in traditional costumes, and over 800 artistically impressive Fallas monuments, culminating in their symbolic burning on the final night. This vibrant and passionate ceremony marks Valencia’s unique way of welcoming spring and new hope.
